Conceived for the driver that appreciates quality and craftsmanship but wanting something more than just understated class, style and charm. The Abingdon Delivers literally earth shattering performance transporting you from 0 – 60 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds. Combine this with the latest in suspension and braking design, add in the most detailed of finishing’s using the finest materials available in the world and you have a car that will not only make you smile every time you see it, but find every excuse available to get back behind the wheel.

Body/Chassis

  • To create the MG Abingdon Edition, we start with an original iconic MGB and over the course of many weeks and months fully restore the body using all new panels that are hand built in Oxfordshire by British Motor Heritage to the identical specifications of the original and then apply our own exacting build standards. Every panel is examined, refinished and realigned until it’s perfect. All panel gaps are symmetrical, every blemish eradicated. The original may have been fine in the 20th century but we’ve evolved a little since then.

  • 2018 Mazda 2.5 litre 4 cylinder aluminium engine
  • Forged crank, rods and pistons, solid lifters, variable cam timing
  • 50mm direct to head throttle bodies

Internal Construction

  • Fully lined with Dynamat sound deadening
  • Dynaliner heat insulation applied to all floors, doors, bulkheads & tunnel
  • Alcantara coverings to all crash rails, door capping’s and dash top with ‘French stitch’ seams
  • Wilton carpets throughout
  • Connolly leather fitted to seats, doors, tunnel and trim panels
  • Hand formed alloy seat shells on adjustable runners
  • Bespoke period Smiths instruments manufactured in the original style with fully digital internals with the face of the speedometer containing the build number of the car

  • Aluminium front suspension uprights with tubular wishbones and adjustable dampers
